A special project to shore up the bridge between the main lake and fishing lake was completed this past summer (2004). Erosion was undermining the bridge base and shallow water conditions limited boat traffic. Sheet pilings were driven around the bridge base and secured. The sand under the bridge was pumped away to allow boats to pass.

One of the projects undertaken on Work Day in June 2004 was repainting of the front entrance.

The abandoned Burlington Northern rail corridor which adjoins the eastern boundary of Willow Bend has been identified for trail development on the Nebraska State Trails Plan. The Nebraska State Trails Plan can be accessed through the Nebraska Game and Parks web site: http://www.ngpc.state.ne.us/parks/programs/trailplan/trailplan.asp

Please check the Upcoming Events page on this site for coming events! Let's have another safe and fun-filled Spring & Summer at Willow Bend Lake!

The gas pump located on the north shore of the fishing lake works great! If you are interested not hauling gas anymore and using the pump contact Dan Emery to get your "Phoenix" card, at Lot 41, or call him at 308-946-2432.  Users will be billed monthly during the boating season.
